07/28 That's a waterfall: The mighty Gullfoss.

07/28 The lake Þingvallavatn. Nice. Just that you are never alone...


07/29 Þingvellier. Here, the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are drifting apart. And it's a place of great historical importance for Iceland. In the year 930, the Alþingi, one of the oldest parliamentary institutions of the world, was founded here.


07/29 After a month of cycling in the West of Iceland, I returned to Reykjavík.
